Motorcycle collision kills one

According to New Jersey authorities, two motorcycles crashed on Interstate 78 leaving one woman dead.
Both motorcycles were traveling eastbound on the interstate a when one of the motorcycles struck the other oneĀ as it was trying to pass it. A couple was riding on the motorcycle in front when it was hit.
The passenger on the motorcycle was thrown from the vehicle and was run over by another car. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of this motorcycle and the driver of the other motorcycle were both transported to the hospital. The 36-year-old driver of the second motorcycle was charged with driving while intoxicated.

Motorcycle crash kills one, injured another

A motorcycle crash on June 15 left one man dead and a woman in critical condition. The man was from New York and the woman from Long Island and they were traveling together when the man lost control of the motorcycle around 4 a.m.
The 40-year-old man was thrown from the bike after he lost control of it and slammed into a concrete barrier. He was pronounced dead at the scene and the 25-year-old passenger was transported to the hospital with a broken back and two fractured legs. The woman is now in stable condition.

New Jersey state trooper killed in crash in Howell

A New Jersey state trooper was killed after a car crash near Howell, New Jersey. The trooper was searching for the occupants of a car that was abandoned on Interstate 195 when he was hit.
The trooper was transported to the Jersey Shore University Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. Officials say that there was no connection between the abandoned car being searched and the driver who struck the officer. The trooper had served with the state police for five years.

Man killed in early morning motorcycle crash

A man was killed after getting into a motorcycle accident while reportedly trying to elude police officials.
A patrol supervisor spotted to 39-year-old man driving what he called erratically northbound on Teaneck Road around 3:48 a.m. According to authorities, when the motorcyclist saw the patrol vehicle’s lights go on, he drove off of the roadway and onto a lawn.
The man drive to the shoulder in order to pass a slow moving vehicle. The man was then thrown from his motorcycle after he struck the passenger side door.
