A 74-year-old woman is claiming that a nursing home in Rankin County has abused her. The woman’s daughter has made public allegations against the nursing facility, as well as filed a complaint against the facility.
The daughter received a call from the facility claiming that her elderly mother, who suffers from dementia, had fallen from her wheelchair and was taken to the hospital. The woman went to the nursing home to talk to the nurse who witnessed the fall. She is claiming that the nurse’s exact words to her, in regards to her mother, were that she “had had enough.”
The elderly woman fractured her eye and also sustained several bruises and injuries to her body. Her daughter posted the pictures of her injuries onto the popular social media site, Facebook. The daughter frequently receives calls from the facility, where her mother has resided for the past four years, claiming that her mother falls quite often. The last time she fell at the facility, she suffered a broken arm.
