Ohio nurse facing criminal charges of patient abuse

Posted on Friday, January 20th, 2012 at 5:56 pm

A nurse in Ohio is currently being investigated for criminal patient abuse at the Independence House nursing home in Fostoria, Ohio.  Police have already charged the 28-year old woman with one fourth degree felony count of patient abuse.

The Fostoria Police Department began investigating the nurse after fellow employees and a supervisor reported that they suspected she was physically abusing patients.  Investigations revealed that the nurse abused a least one patient, 94, by pinching her and pulling her hair.

Because police have found evidence of multiple incidents of abuse, they continue to investigate the nurse.  However, the 28-year old will go to trial later this month for at least one count of patient of abuse.
