New Jersey is having a statewide crackdown on drunken drivers in a campaign called “Over the Limit, Under Arrest.”
The campaign begins August 26 and runs through September 6, Labor Day. The campaign is complete with extra law enforcement officials and sobriety checkpoints in order to keep an extra eye out for impaired drivers on the road.
Last year, 185 people were killed in alcohol-related accidents in New Jersey and 67 of these fatalities occurred during the Summer travel months.
